As one of only a handful of Big Sur Restaurants, featuring both indoor and outdoor dining, enjoy a fabulous meal on our outdoor decks, the manicured grass lawn or along the bank of the Big Sur River. Have a seat in an Adirondack chair in the river water and let the smooth current cool your feet as you enjoy the best Big Sur meal around.

We welcome well behaved dogs in our outdoor spaces, including the restaurant decks, lawn and river areas. We ask that our furry friends stay on a leash and keep track of their owners. 🐾

Located inside the Big Sur River Inn General Store is our burrito bar. Create your own tacos, bowls, or burritos and enjoy on the property or on your Big Sur hike. The burrito bar is open daily from 8am to 7pm.

Stock up on all of your food and drink needs at our General Store. We carry snacks, pantry goods, beverages, wine, beer, and BSRI pre-made food made to go. It’s the place to also stock up on your Big Sur and BSRI merchandise from T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, mugs, and so much more. The General Store is open daily from 8am to 8pm.

Our famous Ice Cream Bus is located directly next to our Valero Gas Station. We serve popular flavors year around to satiate your sweet taste buds. Nothing better than ice cream on a beautiful day and walking around on property to take in all the nature Big Sur has to offer. The Ice Cream Bus is open daily from 9am to 5pm.

Place your order at our restaurant bar, and receive your food in a to-go picnic basket to enjoy on our perfectly manicured grass lawn in front of the historic Big Sur River or take it back to your room to enjoy indoors. We offer this year round, rain or shine. Picnic baskets are available during restaurant hours from 9am to 8pm.
